Denzel’s Hopes for United: Inter’s Dumfries Waits for a United Call, with the Dutch Defender Putting Talks with the Nerazzurri on Hold as He Sets His Sights on a Move to Old Trafford

Until the transfer window closes, Denzel Dumfries has no intention of negotiating a new contract with Inter Milan.

The 28-year-old right wing-back from the Netherlands is approaching the last 12 months of his contract at San Siro, and Inter wants to sign him to new terms.

However, as things are, he is still intent on moving, and the prospect of joining Manchester United is especially alluring.

They now have an agreement in principle with Manchester United, but personal terms are not set in stone. That would only be a possibility if Aaron Wan-Bissaka firmly rejects a move to West Ham United.

Wan-Bissaka is more interested in moving to Inter, which would increase the possibility of a Dumfries trade, which has only been discussed by middlemen rather the clubs directly.

Though negotiations are still going on, Manchester United would still want to purchase Bayern Munich’s Noussair Mazraoui and transfer Wan-Bissaka to West Ham.

In his thirty-one Serie A games last season, Dumfries netted four goals and provided five assists as Inter defeated AC Milan by 19 points to win the 20th Scudetto.
