After reaching a personal terms agreement with the Manchester United defender, Aaron Wan-Bissaka will soon be officially signed by West Ham United.
West Ham and United have agreed upon a £15 million cost for the 26-year-old full-back, according to a report published by The Athletic on Saturday.
He will undergo a medical on Monday before finalising his move to east London.
Representatives of Wan-Bissaka and West Ham held a successful discussion on Sunday night to settle matters that had threatened to stall the transfer.
Wan-Bissaka is set to agree to a five-year deal at London Stadium.
Since adaptable full-back Ben Johnson left West Ham for Ipswich Town on a free transfer this summer, the Hammers have been eager to bolster their alternatives at right back.
After Max Kilman from Wolverhampton Wanderers and Jean-Clair Tobido from Nice arrived in the summer, Wan-Bissaka will be the third defensive addition to new head coach Julen Lopetegui’s team.
The 26-year-old paid an initial £45 million transfer fee to join United from Crystal Palace in 2019, with an additional £5 million in potential bonuses.
In his five seasons at United, he has made 190 first-team appearances and scored twice.
Manager Erik ten Hag has frequently favored Diogo Dalot at right back for United, with Wan-Bissaka filling in at left back for Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, both of whom sustained long-term injuries, throughout the majority of the 2023–24 campaign.
