Midfield Maestro on the Move: Everton Chasing Phillips in Bid for Premier League Survival

Kalvin Phillips, a midfielder for Manchester City, may be sent on loan to Everton.

Prior to the upcoming campaign, Sean Dyche is eager to make improvements to his team, and Everton has recognized Phillips as a player who might strengthen their group.

The 28-year-old is being considered by the Merseyside club, and after spending the second part of this season on loan at West Ham United, he may be eligible for a short-term move once more.

Phillips arrived at West Ham during the January transfer window, but he only made ten appearances for the east London team, thus his time there did not go as planned. In addition, he was dismissed after receiving two yellow cards during a 2-0 loss against Nottingham Forest in February.

Phillips moved on loan after seeing his game time limited at City. Since his transfer to the Etihad Stadium from Leeds United in 2022, he has been limited to 31 appearances in all competitions.

Even though Phillips was one of England’s best players at the last European Championship, he has fallen out of Gareth Southgate’s starting lineup and was left out of the initial 33-man roster for Euro 2024.

If he were to sign with Everton, he would be joining a team that placed 15th in the Premier League during the 2023–24 season.
