The NFL announced the five games that would be broadcast nationally on Friday along with the whole preseason schedule.
The Houston Texans and Chicago Bears square battle in the Hall of Fame Game to start the preseason. After the Bears selected quarterback Caleb Williams and receiver Rome Odunze in the 2024 NFL Draft and the Texans added running back Joe Mixon and receiver Stefon Diggs following their 2023 playoff run, both teams created a lot of noise this summer.

When the New Orleans Saints visit the San Francisco 49ers in Week 2 of the preseason, it will also be nationally televised.
The last week of the preseason will feature nationally televised matchups between the Indianapolis Colts and Cincinnati Bengals, the Arizona Cardinals and Denver Broncos, and the New England Patriots and Washington Commanders.
