The Los Angeles Dodgers remain in control of the NLCS.

The Los Angeles Dodgers remain in control of the NLCS, but their grip has loosened slightly. The New York Mets’ offense came alive in a 12-6 victory in Game 5, keeping their hopes alive and extending the series. While the Dodgers can still clinch the series with a win in Game 6 on Sunday, the Mets now have the opportunity to push it to a decisive Game 7.

Sean Manaea is scheduled to start for the Mets. The 32-year-old left-hander already earned a win at Dodger Stadium earlier in the series, allowing three runs (two earned) over five innings in Game 2. Manaea has been solid this postseason, posting a 2.65 ERA in his three starts.

The Dodgers are expected to rely on their bullpen for Game 6 but remain the favorites. Although Jack Flaherty struggled in Friday’s Game 5, the Dodgers’ pitching staff has managed four shutouts in their 10 playoff games.

Mookie Betts continued his hot streak with a home run in Game 5, while Shohei Ohtani contributed with a multi-hit performance. Both are likely to be key players in Sunday’s game.

On the Mets’ side, their offense has found new life after Friday’s early breakout. Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso both had multi-hit games, with Alonso launching his fourth home run of the series.

As we head into Game 6, here’s a look at the odds and projections from The Bat X for Sunday’s NLCS showdown.
